Yesterday, I was lucky enough to be invited by FDM to watch the Ashes at Old Trafford. We were treated to some great hospitality by Andy King and his team, whilst also watching the greatest cricket rivalry in the world.
To those who have gone past the cricket ground over the last few years, you would have noticed the construction of a large red building. This is the new hospitality area called ‘The Point’. It has featured heavily in the media this week as it was a major part of the grounds recent regeneration. A hugely impressive suit, it’s a great sports venue that fits over a thousand people. As you can imagine, with hype generated from this Ashes series, it was absolutely packed.
A former fast bowler I was intrigued to see how James Anderson and co would do against the Australia batsmen. Unfortunately for us England fans, it was the Auzzies and their captain Michael Clarke who had the better of the first day.
I’d really like to thank Andy and FDM for the invite. We have known Andy for many years and worked with FDM before. It was great to catch up with him and his team and we look forward to seeing them again in the near future.
