HP ALM – Performance Center Complexity

I'm an experienced LoadRunner user and as part of my ongoing training, I decided to take a look at Performance Center. The transition from LoadRunner to Performance Center wasn't initially as straightforward as I thought. There are numerous features that built into HP ALM Performance Center 12, that can be very daunting to a newbie.  I spent a couple of days trying to get to grips with the suite and use it to execute a load test on our local development environment. Unfortunately, I spent a lot of time chasing my own tail, doing the wrong thing or inputting information when it was not needed. As you might be able to imagine, it can get rather frustrating!

So I resorted to employing the services of the internet, and had begun searching for information that would aid me and streamline my learning in executing a test. After a while I came across a video for an older version of PC, PC 11, but this was still relevant for version 12. Its very simple and shows you the basic flow of how you upload scripts, monitor, time-manage and execute a load test. So without further ado, a big thank you to the uploader – HewlettPackardALM.
