My friends and I love Grand Designs! I don’t really know why but we always seem to be talking about it. Last week, for instance; instead of talking about the weekends big rugby game, we were talking about one of the creations made on the show. Last night was no different. In my WhatsApp group, one of my friends mentioned how a Japanese style home was built in the Wye Valley. A classic east meets west encounter, I had to watch.

Yesterday saw the launch of the online option of Grand Theft Auto 5. The video game is famous for its massive open world where you can literally do whatever you want; whether it’s going to the gym, robbing a bank or stealing and driving a tank from the army.  A new ‘mode’, the online aspect is another bow to the already successful series. However, hundreds and thousands of fans were left disappointed yesterday with many facing error messages, screen freeze and slow loading times when they tried to play it online.

Today is the launch of the new iPhone and as with all products released by Apple, there has been much hype and fanfare. After the release of iOS7 this week, the anticipation levels for the new iPhone 5S and 5C have been at fever pitch.

Last week saw the release of Rihanna's second range of clothes for retailer, River Island.  Officially launched in store on Thursday 12th September, there was much hype about the new garments; especially after the success of her maiden release in spring 2013. With this is mind, we were interested to see if the River Island website would be affected by eager punters wanting to get the Rihanna look.

Richard has been working hard on our presentation that will describe his recent experiences of performance testing the Sage 1000 application for University Hospital Birmingham. He will also attempt to dispel a number of myths about performance testing.

It recently emerged that con artists in Argentina were selling ferrets dosed with steroids as toy poodles, to gullible dog lovers.

They were taking advantage of the large demand for toy poodles, from people who don't know much about poodles.
